UNIFIED RESPONSE SOLUTIONS
Expert Guidance for Critical Incidents
Our 1st60 Team Members bring extensive emergency service experience, enabling us to deeply understand critical incidents. We identify crucial gaps in current emergency response—often caused by agency silos, a misunderstanding of incident priority shifts, and unrealistic training. Our focus is to close these gaps and implement system changes that enhance overall emergency response to critical incidents.

About 1st60
The initial response to a high-risk incident is paramount; a unified response is absolutely critical.
Recognizing significant response gaps between public safety agencies during critical incidents, a group of forward-thinking first responders from police, fire, and EMS established the concepts utilized by 1st60. This same group has since designed and enacted successful training programs and systemic improvements, effectively connecting emergency response agencies with business and governmental leadership in order to create the most complete response to critical incidents.
Insights into Action
"The most realistic unified training I've experienced in my law enforcement career was created by 1st60 members. The unified command scenario taught me the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders for successfully mitigating major incidents." —Lt. Pate, Gastonia Police Department
"It's rare to see police, fire, and EMS agencies train side by side, but this course made the collaboration a reality. The facilitators did an outstanding job bridging the gap between agencies, highlighting not only how each operates, but also exposing blind spots and weaknesses that can be improved upon. By gaining a deeper understanding of partner agency resources, processes, and challenges, we're better equipped to work together and deliver stronger outcomes for both responders and the communities we serve." Mobile Medicine Interoperability Coordinator, Atrium Health, Charles Whitley, Jr. M.S.DMHS
"The 1st60 consulting team brought an exceptional depth of expertise in unified command principles. They conducted tailored exercises and provided coaching for our leadership team. Their approach was not only practical but deeply rooted in operational realities. 1st60 truly understands the culture and operational demands of public safety. Their professionalism, adaptability, and command of ICS doctrine are second to none. I highly recommend them to any agency looking to elevate its incident response capabilities." Emergency Services Manager, Chauncey Bowers, Wake Forest University

Airport Command and Control - 1st60
This targeted course focuses on improving the understanding and execution of Unified Command at airports. A key component of this training is reinforcing the guidance provided in the draft Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular 150/5210-26 which highlights the importance of implementing robust incident management command and control during airport emergencies. Unified Command is essential in a complex airport environment, where incidents require swift and synchronized action by multiple agencies.
Airport Operations - 1st60
This training specifically addresses airport operations staff, applying Incident Command System (ICS) principles to their unique role during airport emergencies. While often involved in on-site responses, airport operations personnel typically have limited interagency coordination experience, which this course aims to improve. Participants will gain significant confidence in their ability to respond to critical incidents through this course.
